IMPLEMENTATION OF R&D ACTIVITIES TO DEVELOP INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS FOR RENEWABLE ENERGY TECHNOLOGIES
AXIS Tech together with its partner Lithuanian Energy Institute is currently implementing a project financed by the European Union.
The aim of the project is to improve the current market situation in the agro-biomass incineration sector and to develop a technology that would allow different types of agro-biomass to be burned in one plant, reduce CO2 emissions during the incineration process and ensure longer incineration times.
In addition, with the application of innovative combustion technology, the ash leftover from the burned agro-biomass could be used in the construction sector as a binder, gypsum, using additional elements.
During the implementation of the project it is planned to develop and test a unique agro-biomass combustion technology AXT_BioT, which will be able to ensure efficient combustion of such fuel and the process of obtaining a heat agent regardless of the changing fuel fraction or chemical composition. Agricultural biomass combustion technology in volume, at low local combustion temperature, will ensure extremely low concentrations of alkali metal (K and Na) aerosols in combustion products. Sulfur and chlorine compounds can be bound using chemical inhibitors of the fuel layer. The technology of turbulent and directional fuel movement of the weighed bed will be developed using a special methodology of dispersed (fine) and coarse fuel supply.
